Bears coach Ben Johnson didn’t want to reveal too much about his plans for quarterback Caleb Williams as players reported to Halas Hall for training camp on Tuesday, but he had no problem making public that one standard for him this season will be completing 70% of his passes.

By extension, then, he’s looking for something near that in practices, which begin Wednesday morning.

Williams often lamented his struggles with throwing accuracy last season, when he started by completing just 14 of 29 passes against the Titans and went on to finish 29th in the NFL (among players who played at least 10 games) with a 62.
