Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson will miss “a few weeks” with a leg injury he suffered while training this offseason, general manager Ryan Poles said Tuesday.
The Bears put Johnson on the non-football injury list last week alongside three others but did not specify his malady then. The NFI is reserved for players who are hurt or fall ill away from the team.
Poles said the Bears weren’t particularly concerned with the long-term impact of Johnson’s injury.
Bears veterans reported to training camp on Tuesday. The team will practice for the first time Wednesday.
