PHILADELPHIA — The Bears spent the first half bullying and bruising the defending Super Bowl champion and lead the Eagles 10-3 at halftime.
Philadelphia native D’Andre Swift ran for a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter and kickers Jake Elliott and Cairo Santos traded second quarter field goals.
Playing in the blustery cold, head coach Ben Johnson leaned on his run game, calling for 22 handoffs that produced a whopping 142 yards. Quarterback Caleb Williams’ three carries all resulted in third-down conversions. He was erratic throwing the ball, though, going 11-for-24 for 90 yards and a third-down sack.
