On Tuesday the Chicago Bears announced that general manager Ryan Pace has promoted six members of their football operations staff, with five of those promotions coming within their scouting department and one from their player development side of things.
Jeff King, who has been with the Bears since 2016 most recently as their Assistant Director of Pro Scouting, has been promoted to Director of Pro Scouting. He played in the NFL from 2006 to 2013 with the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals.
Sam Summerville, who has been with the Bears since 2012, has been promoted to National Scout after most recently serving an an Area Scout for the Southeast region.
