NEW YORK — Langston Galloway was walking off the floor at Madison Square Garden following his routine pre-game workout. Heading toward the Detroit Pistons' locker room, Galloway stopped at the edge of the court to chat with a familiar face. Shortly after that conversation ended, Galloway took only a few more steps before a security guard interrupted his path with elation and a handshake. A few steps later, another one did the same.
“You're looking strong, man,” the second Madison Square Garden security guard said to the 25-year-old Galloway. “You're getting ready now.”
