After surgeries, Bears’ Trey Burton, Anthony Miller expect to start camp healthy

DECATUR — The Bears believe two of their most valuable pass-catchers will be healthy enough to start training camp on the active roster, general manager Ryan Pace said Sunday.

Tight end Trey Burton had offseason sports hernia surgery after missing the NFC wild-card playoff game with a mysterious groin injury. He said at the time he was fairly sure that it was not a result of anxiety, which he had dealt with at times in his career.

Miller, a second-round pick in 2018, had shoulder surgery after the season ended to repair an injury that had bothered him most of the season.
