Everyone can calm down and exhale when it comes to Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III.
Not only is he back from a hamstring injury, but he looks explosive. Everything the Bears saw in Burden when they drafted him 39th overall was evident in a high-pressure practice Thursday morning.
After missing the first week of training camp and catching heat from coach Ben Johnson about lining up in the wrong spots in his first couple practices, Burden was everywhere. Quarterback Caleb Williams found him at all levels of the passing attack, and the Bears’ cornerbacks — probably their strongest unit and one of the NFL’s best — had trouble keeping track of him.
