Adam Schefter delivers much-needed good news on Luther Burden injury in Bears loss

Even though the pain of losing on the final play, the Chicago Bears felt it even more by seeing one of their top offensive players get hurt.

With the Bears down 42-38 and inside the San Francisco 49ers' 10-yard line, Chicago had one last play with Caleb Williams running around and short-hopping a pass to Jahdae Walker in the end zone as the Bears lost the game. What was even worse about that play was that rookie receiver Luther Burden III got hurt on the play and was carted off the field.

There was no update after the game from Burden or Bears head coach Ben Johnson, but ESPN's Adam Schefter got the scoop that Burden suffered a quad injury, and it is not expected to be serious.
