That’s the biggest takeaway to come out of the 2021 NFL Draft from a Bears perspective, and Thursday’s first round was surely one fans will remember for quite some time. Whether Fields pans out as a franchise quarterback or not, the universal excitement felt by seemingly every Bears fan was unlike any that has been seen in recent memory.
As exciting as the selection of Fields is, there’s still a lot more of the draft to go. The Bears were able to move up for the Ohio State quarterback without giving up picks in the second or third rounds this year, meaning they should still be plenty active on Friday.
