Chicago Bears Rumors start with Dak Prescott as the Cowboys’ starting QB has an unclear future after Dallas didn’t sign him to a long-term contract this offseason. Instead, Prescott will play under the franchise tag in 2020, leading many to believe that he could be available in 2021. Could the Bears pursue Dak next offseason? Dallas will likely tag him again after this season, but a tag & trade play could be on the table. The Bears desperately need a long-term answer at QB and Dak Prescott could be the answer there.
Bears Rumors continue with a possible NFL Free Agency target in Devonta Freeman. Freeman has hired agent Drew Rosenhaus who says he plans to have Freeman on a team by late July. The Bears still have room at RB behind David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. Will Chicago explore signing the veteran RB?

Nick Foles & Mitchell Trubisky are the options at QB for the Bears in 2020, but the competition hasn’t been able to start due to the ongoing pandemic. With the NFL cancelling all preseason games, the natural thought would be that Trubisky has the inside track to start at QB. However, JJ Stankevitz of NBC Chicago suggests that Foles doesn’t have as much to prove as Trubisky since he’s a veteran. Stankevitz actually believes that Trubisky needs more preseason reps to prove he’s improved following a poor 2019 NFL Season.
Chicago Bears News focuses on their 2020 draft picks led by Cole Kmet and Jaylon Johnson. All 7 of the Bears draft picks have signed their rookie contracts and reported to Halas Hall for Training Camp. Veterans are slated to report by July 28th which means camp should get underway sometime in August.
