Chicago Bears News & Rumors are heating up as Week 1 of the NFL Season is less than 2 weeks away. Several top NFL Free Agents remain unsigned and the Bears could add a player or two before they finalize their 53-man roster this weekend. On today’s show, Chicago Bears Now host Harrison Graham takes a look at the top 5 NFL Free Agents the Bears could sign before the 2020 NFL Season.
Chicago Bears Free Agency Targets include Leonard Fournette and Prince Amukamara as both players were recently released. The Jaguars released Fournette after 3 seasons despite coming off a season in which he rushed for over 1,100 yards and added 522 yards receiving. Amukamara has spent the past 3 seasons with the Bears, but was released in February for salary cap purposes and later signed by the Raiders. The Raiders released Amukamara on Monday and he’s now available to sign.

The Bears offensive line struggled mightily in 2019 and Chicago hasn’t done a ton from a roster standpoint to improve it for 2020. Ron Leary is a veteran OG and recently visited with the Cleveland Browns. Could Chicago sign Leary to play RG? The Bears also worked out veteran LB Alec Ogletree recently and could use some depth behind Danny Trevathan & Roquan Smith.
Damon “Snacks” Harrison is still available to sign in free agency, but it doesn’t appear that the Bears have a ton of interest. Chicago has been using Bilal Nichols and John Jenkins as its primary nose tackles during training camp as they try to replace Eddie Goldman who opted out of the 2020 season.
