Chicago Bears Rumors: WR Brandon Marshall will "picket" to avoid 2015 free agency

The world of Chicago Bears rumors can sometimes be filled with changing faces coming and going, looking to leverage their next big contract either with the Bears or elsewhere.

However, be sure not to count superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall amongst those players.

Speaking with ESPN Chicago 1000, Marshall made it quite clear that, with free agency looming after the 2014 NFL season, the Chicago Bears are the only option in 2015 that he is interested in thinking about -- “I have another year left on my contract. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, I’m glad to be a Bear for another year and I’m going to force them to sign me after next year."

“But if it comes down to next year, I’ll be picketing outside of Halas Hall for a new deal, a new contract, because I’m not going anyplace," Marshall added.

In his second year with the Chicago Bears in 2013, the five-time NFL Pro Bowler surpassed 1,000 receiving yards (1,295) for the seventh straight season. Marshall currently sits eighth in NFL history with a career mark of 73.6 receiving yards per game.

Despite all of this, the 30-year-old Marshall isn't looking to break the bank with a contract extension with the Bears -- “The guys that are out there now like Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald they’re making $16 million, $15 million a year, and I’m not looking for anything like that."

"A lot of that money goes to the quarterback position and rightfully so."
