'We've been told that it WAS a penalty': Frank Lampard reveals Chelsea SHOULD have had a spot kick after Blues launched PGMOL inquiry into Harry Maguire foul on Cesar Azpilicueta in Old Trafford stalemate

Frank Lampard has revealed that the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMOL) have confirmed the decision to deny Chelsea a penalty against Manchester United was incorrect.

The Blues picked up a point from their visit to Old Trafford last month, with neither side able to break the deadlock in an altogether uninspiring affair.

However, the visitors were left aggrieved after they were denied a penalty, with United captain Harry Maguire dragging Cesar Azpilicueta to the floor during a set piece.
