Thiago Silva has revealed he saw Thomas Tuchel's PSG sacking coming when he was still at the club and the former captain has also backed the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Brazilian defender left the Parc des Prince in the summer to join Chelsea after Tuchel led them to the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League final.

The German was dismissed on Christmas Eve just hours after a 4-0 victory over Strasbourg, and only four months from that narrow final defeat to Bayern Munich.

But former captain Silva has suggested players knew 'situations had to be changed' last season and showed support for sporting director Leonardo's appointment of former player Pochettino.
