Tottenham are pushing to wrap up the signing of Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin by the end of this week.
Talks advanced on Friday for the 21-year-old and the clubs are discussing a fee with Genoa hoping for around £25million for the Romania international.
Tottenham watched Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White on Saturday though a deal is unlikely to materialise this month.
Spurs still want another winger and midfielder before the end of the month.
An offer is in the pipeline for Stanis Idumbo Muzambo, 18, of Ajax while talks over a fresh move for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher have yet to take place but the Stamford Bridge club are open to selling for around £40m as they look to release funds for a striker.
