Thomas Tuchel breaks his silence on his Chelsea sacking as he reveals he's 'devastated' by his Stamford Bridge departure and says the Blues will always hold a 'special place' in his heart

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he was 'devastated' to be sacked by Chelsea.

The German manager, who guided Chelsea to the Champions League in 2021, was sacked by the club on Wednesday, following their 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

In his first comments since his ruthless sacking by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, Tuchel admitted his statement was one of the most 'difficult' ones he's ever had to write.

In the statement on Twitter, he wrote: 'This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one which I hoped I would not need to do for many years.
