Earlier this week, Swansea manager Paul Clement took his forward Fernando Llorente to one side during training.
With a straight face, Clement suggested that Llorente may be in need of a rest and should sit out the trip to Chelsea. Clement had seen the well-founded speculation linking his Spanish forward with a January transfer to Chelsea.
Antonio Conte previously signed Llorente for Juventus when the forward scored eighteen goals on the way to a Serie A title. The Italian coach felt Llorente may be of use as an understudy to Diego Costa in the second half of this campaign.
