Southampton's Claude Puel: Conceding early vs. Chelsea cost us

Southampton manager Claude Puel expressed his regret at the way his team conceded so early in their 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Eden Hazard netted the first goal at St Mary's and set up Diego Costa for the second as the Blues moved up to fourth in the Premier League table with the victory.

Hazard opened the scoring inside six minutes after jinking inside Steven Davis and slotting through the legs of Fraser Forster, and Puel admits his side should have done better.

"It's difficult to accept the goals," he told reporters. "We started the game very well, good pressing, good recovery, good quality from the players.
