Rafa Benitez 'close to becoming new manager at LaLiga side Celta Vigo'... with the Spaniard eager to get back in the dugout after being fired by Everton last January

Rafa Benitez is reportedly on the verge of becoming the new manager of LaLiga side Celta Vigo, after turning down job offers from Saudi Arabia.

The 63-year-old's career has seen the Spaniard take the helm at a number of teams in his native country, as well as Premier League sides Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Everton.

The Madrid-born boss has been out of the dugout since being fired by the Toffees in January 2022, but now it seems that he has found a new opportunity in Spain.

The Athletic report that Benitez is to become the new manager of Celta Vigo, as he eagerly seeks a return to management.
