New England coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink joins up with the Three Lions squad for March internationals... and links up again with boss Gareth Southgate after two years as team-mates at Middlesbrough

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has joined the England squad for training on Tuesday after being appointed as a coach for the national side.

The former Chelsea and Leeds striker was involved in sessions at the Threee Lions' base at St George's Park.

Pictures show the 50-year-old giving instructions to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire and Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

He was also shown in discussions with boss Gareth Southgate, assistant Steve Holland and fellow coach Paul Nevin. Hasselbaink played alongside Southgate at Premier League side Middlesbrough between 2004 and 2006.
