New England coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink joins up with Gareth Southgate and Co for March internationals... with the former Chelsea striker replacing Chris Powell

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has joined the England squad for training on Tuesday after being appointed as a coach for the national side.

The former Chelsea and Leeds striker was involved in sessions at the Threee Lions' base at St George's Park.

Pictures show the 50-year-old giving instructions to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire and Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

He was also shown in discussions with boss Gareth Southgate, assistant Steve Holland and fellow coach Paul Nevin.

Hasselbaink resigned as manager of League One side Burton Albion in September.
