Jose Mourinho has absolved himself of blame concerning the departure of Mohamed Salah from Chelsea, declaring the club to blame for the sale of the now-Liverpool star.
Salah has set the Premier League alight this season following his summer transfer from Roma to Anfield; he has scored 43 goals in all competitions and was recently named PFA Player of the Year.
Following his superb showing against his former club in the Champions League, with two goals and two assists helping Liverpool secure a 5-2 home victory in the semi-finals of Europe’s premier cup competition, Salah has also been thrown into the discussion for the Ballon d’Or, with the Egypt star now compared alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best players in the world.
