Liam Rosenior closes in on Chelsea job: Strasbourg boss jets into London for talks with club - and he could be in charge for Wednesday's clash with Fulham

Liam Rosenior flew to London on Sunday while Chelsea were snatching a draw away at Manchester City with the Strasbourg manager closing in on becoming the Blues’ new boss.

Rosenior is set to hold further talks over replacing Enzo Maresca and it is possible the 41-year-old Englishman could take charge in time for Wednesday’s Premier League visit of Fulham.

Strasbourg, the French side who are Chelsea’s sister club, are working on securing their own suitable replacement Rosenior.

Former Wolves boss Gary O’Neill is one of three candidates being considered to succeed him.
