Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia provides candidate for greatest ever own goal in Chelsea win

Chelsea were handed a lifeline with 15 minutes to play of their International Champions Cup fixture with Inter Milan after Geoffrey Kondogbia produced the most comical of own goals.

With the side 2-0 to good thanks to Stevan Jovetic and Ivan Perisic strikes, former Monaco midfielder Kondogbia received a pass from team-mate Miranda and opted to look for his goalkeeper Daniele Padelli.

About 40 yards from goal, Kondogbia looked to get sufficient power on his back-pass, but the ball skipped up in front of him on the uneven pitch at Singapore's National Stadium.

Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda was hot on the heels on his opposite man in midfield, but the young Belgian player was still someway off challenging him.
