'I had to hide in order to play': Samuel Eto'o reveals his parents did not let him play football until his dad accidentally saw a game in which he starred... before he was given a 'pass' to keep pursuing the sport

Former Barcelona and Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o has revealed how he used to hide from his parents when he played football growing up.

During a career that started at Real Madrid and then took in the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Everton, Eto'o amassed three Champions League titles, three La Liga crowns, two Copa del Reys, Serie A, the Coppa Italia twice and the FIFA Club World Cup.

However, life could have turned out very differently for Eto'o back in the day had he not convinced his parents to let him play football.
