'I can only hope the rules are the same for EVERYBODY': Thomas Tuchel says he would be 'very angry' if rivals are abusing Premier League Covid postponement rules to cover for injuries and AFCON

Thomas Tuchel admits he will be 'very, very angry' if he discovers rival teams are bending the Premier League's emergency Covid rules to suit their own needs.

Leicester were allowed to postpone a game against Everton because of a combination of positive Covid cases, injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Their game against Burnley on Saturday is also off and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta claimed the derby against Tottenham could be in doubt after losing more players.

'I strongly, strongly hope that's not the case otherwise I would be very, very angry,' said Tuchel when asked if he thought clubs were seeking to gain a sporting advantage from rules introduced to ease the problems of Covid isolation.
