The transfer of Nikola Maksimovic from Torino to Napoli has been held up after the Serbia international was involved in a security alert at Frankfurt airport.
The one-time Chelsea target was scheduled to fly from Frankfurt to Rome for his medical prior to his £21million transfer but the airport was evacuated after a bomb scare.
Two terminals were shut down completely and evacuated on Wednesdayafter a woman suspected of carrying a bomb fled from a security checkpoint to blend into the crowds.
A police spokesman said it was unclear whether the security breach was accidental or planned.
