Former Chelsea favourite Damien Duff reveals: 'I cried when I left Stamford Bridge, that's why I couldn't join Spurs'

Damien Duff has opened up about his departure from Chelsea, admitting that he cried the day he left to join Newcastle.

The Irishman spent three seasons at Chelsea winning two Premier League titles and a League Cup before a £5million transfer to Newcastle in 2006.

Duff would struggle with injuries at St James' Park though and he was part of the team that were relegated in 2009 before signing for Fulham.
