World players union FifPro are stepping in to resolve the looming problem of players contracts expiring before the end of the season.

The emerging issue is viewed as an emergency by FIFA, who have confirmed emergency talks aimed at find a unilateral agreement between affiliated leagues and clubs which would ensure players can complete the season with their current teams in the event of it extending into July.

With the season possibly extending into July due to the Coronavirus, Sportsmail revealed on Saturday how out-of-contract players are on a collision course with their clubs due to the fact their deals expire on June 30.
