Everton have confirmed the sacking of manager Frank Lampard after 357 days in charge.
It comes more than five hours after Sportsmail announced his departure, which saw the former Chelsea midfielder told is services were no longer required in a phone call with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.
The end felt inevitable after a poor run of form that left Lampard on the brink, and Sportsmail understands Marcelo Bielsa is Everton's No 1 choice to take over.
