Everton will announce Frank Lampard as their new head coach in the next 24 hours.
The former Chelsea boss has completed all the formalities attached his move to Goodison and all that is left now is to publicly confirm his arrival as Rafa Benitez’s successor.
There is hope that the official announcement could happen tonight - but that process could drag on into Monday.
Either way, Lampard will now begin life as the club’s new boss.
And he will welcome the arrival of Manchester United forward Donny van de Beek on loan until the end of the season.
