Eden Hazard OUT of Real Madrid's Champions League last-16 second leg with Atalanta after suffering fresh injury in 15-minute cameo against Elche - his first game since January - to rule him out for up to six weeks

Eden Hazard has made a swift return to Real Madrid's physio table after picking up a muscle injury 15 minutes into his substitute appearance against Elche.

The Belgian has been dogged by seven major injuries since making an £88million move from Chelsea in 2019 and his latest setback will keep him out of Madrid's crucial last-16 second-leg against Atalanta in the Champions League this week.

Real Madrid confirmed the 30-year-old suffered a psoas muscle injury against Elche - his first game since January.

Hazard has missed 48 of 84 matches in his Real Madrid career and he will now take that tally beyond half a century with his latest setback set to keep him sidelined for up to six weeks.
