The England winger has not started a game since being sent off in the FA Cup fifth round defeat by Brighton at the start of March. He was suspended for three matches, including the Carabao Cup final, and has either been injured or on the bench ever since.
But Gordon gave his most impactful cameo yet during last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Brighton, and has followed that up with what Howe calls his ‘best week’ of training since injuring his hip during March’s international break.
