Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has denied reports he made a late deadline day bid for Celtic star Moussa Dembele.
The striker has been in fine form for the Scottish champions since joining them from Fulham in the summer, scoring nine league goals.
It had led to claims Chelsea were ready to test Celtic's resolve with a bid for the 20-year-old on transfer deadline day.
But now Conte has moved to dismiss such talk, insisting that he never made an approach for the Frenchman.
