Chelsea supremo Marina Granovskaia 'is set to QUIT at the end of the transfer window', after overseeing Todd Boehly's £200m spend, with Atletico Madrid director of football Andrea Berta 'first choice to replace her'

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is set to leave the club in August, according to reports in Germany.

German newspaper BILD reported Atletico Madrid sports director Andrea Berta is in line to replace Granovskaia.

The news comes just days after a consortium led by American tycoon Todd Boehly completed its £4.25billion takeover of the club.

Granovskaia has worked on transfers and contracts under Abramovich. She became his representative at the club in 2010 and then joined the board in 2013 before becoming chief executive the following year.

She had been expected to stay at Stamford Bridge following the Boehly takeover but has opted to step away from the club, according to BILD.
