Chelsea stars miss out on big bonuses despite club pocketing over £7million in prize money from Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup success... as players failed to negotiate financial rewards for the two competitions

Chelsea will avoid paying lucrative bonuses to players for their Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup triumphs despite pocketing over £7million in prize money from lifting both trophies.

Sportsmail understands Blues players did not negotiate any additional financial rewards for winning the two prestigious competitions during talks with club officials at the start of the season.

Clubs agree a bonus schedule with their respective squads ahead of each season, which traditionally act as an extra incentive for players.
