Chelsea set to renew efforts to tie down Antonio Rudiger to a new deal after £140,000-a-week offer was rejected, with German holding out for closer to £200,000 amid free transfer interest from Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus

Chelsea are set to renew their efforts to keep Antonio Rudiger with an improved contract offer amid hope their key defender is open to staying at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger is out of contract at the end of the season and his representatives have held talks with foreign clubs over a potential free transfer move abroad this summer.

Any move to a European rival will prove extremely lucrative for the centre-back, Sportsmail revealing last month that Rudiger is in line to earn as much as £400,000-per-week - including bonuses and other attached fees - on a Bosman transfer.
