Chelsea have offered Jorginho an extended contract beyond the end of the season according to the midfielder's agent.
The Italy international's current deal expires in the summer and with the Blues targeting younger midfielders, including the World Cup star Enzo Fernandez, it was thought the 31-year-old's time at Stamford Bridge was coming to a close.
However, according to Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, there has been a 'renewal proposal' from the west London outfit over keeping him at the club.
'Jorginho's deal expires on June 30, we have a renewal proposal and we give priority to Chelsea, he claimed via TuttoMercato.
