Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has shared a dose of nostalgia with his fans on social media by posting a picture of his younger self from his formative years at Genk.

The Blues keeper moved to Stamford Bridge from the three-time Belgian champions in July 2011 before he was immediately loaned out to Atletico Madrid upon signing a five-year contract.

But prior to enjoying years of trophy-laden success in west London, Courtois cut his teeth in the profession in north-west Belgium, making his first-team debut - against Gent - aged just 16 years and 341 days.

The picture posted on Instagram comes some time before that landmark occasion for the Courtois household, with the player enjoying 10 years as a member of the club's youth academy having arrived from little-known Bilzen.
