Chelsea goalkeeper leaves for Premier League rival in £25m deal after falling out of favour with Enzo Maresca

Bournemouth have signed Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for £25million on a five-year deal.

The 25-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from MLS side New England Revolution in 2023, making 23 Premier League appearances.

But he fell out of favour at the club, with Enzo Maresca deeming him not good enough with his feet.

The Serbian shot-stopper was sent on loan to Strasbourg, who are also owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, where he hugely impressed.

He was named the club's player of the season after helping them to a seventh place finish in Ligue 1, earning a UEFA Conference League berth.
