Chelsea chief who left Stamford Bridge after failing to secure a shirt sponsor lands surprise new job - deemed MORE senior than Blues role

Casper Stylsvig, the former Chelsea chief revenue officer, is to join the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Stylsvig, an ex-Manchester United, Fulham and Barcelona exec departed Stamford Bridge last month after less than two years in the role, with the club without a shirt sponsor.

He will become executive director, sports business at the HKJC, which boasts an annual turnover of £28.8bn and oversee a staff of 3,000 in what is being viewed as a step up from his role at Stamford Bridge.

Stylsvig was hired in November 2023 by Chelsea.
