Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino expects Reece James to be out for a 'few weeks' after latest injury, as he plays down the severity of the setback and tips the Blues captain to return stronger than ever

Chelsea have confirmed Reece James has begun a rehab programme after suffering a hamstring injury in training with Mauricio Pochettino believing his time on the sidelines ‘is not about a few days, maybe a few weeks’ but insisting ‘it’s not a big issue.’

Captain James hurt himself during a session on Wednesday, handing Chelsea another significant injury concern at the start of the campaign having also lost Christopher Nkunku in pre-season.

Pochettino said: ‘It’s a sad moment because he is our captain and he was so excited to be our captain and full of energy.
