Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca reveals Cole Palmer IS ready to play his first full 90 minutes in more than three months in showdown with Morgan Rogers' Aston Villa

Enzo Maresca says Cole Palmer is now ready to play his first full 90 minutes in more than three months when Aston Villa visit this Saturday, and suspects the game could come down to which playmaker performs better between him and Morgan Rogers.

Both Palmer and Rogers share the same ‘cold’ celebration and Chelsea will be looking to end Villa’s superb 10-game winning streak when they turn up at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca will be allowing his players to have a rare Christmas day off from training before they return on Boxing Day to prepare for Villa the next evening, and he was asked by Sky Sports whether he would have the in-form Rogers over Palmer.
