Chelsea are poised to snap up another rising talent after agreeing a fee with Rennes for teenage midfielder Lesley Ogochukwu.
The two clubs have settled on a deal worth around £23m clearing France under-19 international Ogochukwu, who has already agreed a long-term Chelsea deal to undergo a medical and finalise his move.
The 19 year-old is predominantly a defensive midfielder and has already made 60 senior appearances for Rennes, who finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season to qualify for the Europa League.
His signing comes at a time when Chelsea are low on central midfielders after losing five from last season's squad during the summer.
