Chelsea and Aston Villa played out a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup fourth round at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.
Villa thought they were 1-0 up after Douglas Luiz scored within 12 minutes following a well-worked corner, but his effort was ruled out for handball.
Chelsea grew into the game and missed some good chances, with Cole Palmer guilty of being wasteful.
Both sides continued to push in the second half, with Djordje Petrovic kept busy for the Blues.
The two sides will now have to do it all again in a replay at Villa Park in a couple of weeks.
