Brighton line up a move for RB Leipzig defender Angelino as a possible replacement for Marc Cucurella should the Spanish left back leave for Chelsea in a £50m deal

RB Leipzig left-back Angelino could be returning to the Premier League as Brighton's replacement for Marc Cucurella.

With Cucurella close to a move to Chelsea after submitting a transfer request, the Seagulls are looking to fill that gap.

And with RB Leipzig's recent acquisition of Germany international David Raum on a five-year deal from fellow Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, Spanish-born Angelino could be close to moving away.

Angelino could be leaving the Bundesliga to go to Brighton as replacement for Marc Cucurella

According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the situation has attracted the interest of Hoffenheim, who have hopes of replacing Raum with a loan deal for Angelino, and West Ham - although David Moyes has previously distanced himself from that link.
