Benfica are waiting for Chelsea to revise the structure of their £112m offer for Enzo Fernandez, after the World Cup winner told his manager Roger Schmidt of his desire to move to Stamford Bridge

Benfica are waiting for Chelsea to restructure their £112million bid for midfield talent Enzo Fernandez.

The Blues have submitted the significant offer in the hopes of persuading the World Cup Young Player of the Tournament into a move to Stamford Bridge.

The fee is above his £106m buy-out clause but would be paid in three instalments of £37.3m over three years in order to evade financial fairplay restrictions - which Benfica hope can be restructured.
