Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester: Ezri Konsa double sees Steven Gerrard's side come from behind to beat Foxes after Harvey Barnes' early strike

Ezri Konsa scored an unlikely double as Aston Villa produced a storming comeback to defeat Leicester and make it three wins from four matches for new boss Steven Gerrard.

In front of England manager Gareth Southgate, centre-back Konsa would have been hoping to impress in defence. Yet it was at the other end where he was decisive, first cancelling out Harvey Barnes’ opener and then heading the winner early in the second half.

It was first blood to Gerrard in the Premier League against Brendan Rodgers after the pair one a game apiece in Scotland, when Gerrard was in charge of Rangers and Rodgers at Celtic.
