Alan Shearer predicts Arsenal and Manchester United will miss out on a Champions League spot, as legendary striker backs SPURS in Premier League top four race... and says his beloved Newcastle will avoid relegation

Alan Shearer has made his Premier League top four predictions and given his three most likely relegation candidates for the season.

The former England and Newcastle striker thinks Pep Guardiola's Citizens will retain their title, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham taking the remaining Champions League positions.

The 51-year-old had initially predicted Thomas Tuchel's side to win the league, but has since changed his mind.

Speaking to Optus Sport, Shearer said: ‘Before a ball was kicked I did say Chelsea [to win the league] – I’m having severe doubts now,’

‘The run that Man City have been on, they’ve just been relentless and Pep [Guardiola] is just incredible, the way he keeps drilling out results and getting the best out of all of those players that he’s got.
