ADRIAN KAJUMBA: Declan Rice 'needs to do a lot more' to justify his price-tag, according to Roy Keane, so how good is he REALLY? West Ham will want £100m-plus for their midfield star... and the stats show he's equal to Casemiro, Partey and Co

One of the problems for Declan Rice it seems is not so much his own qualities but how much it will cost to have them.

A year ago West Ham manager David Moyes said £100m would be cheap for the England midfielder and over £150m would be a more accurate reflection of his valuation.

Even now, with 12 months less left on his contract, that figure may have fallen slightly but any negotiations are expected to begin with West Ham aiming to secure a record fee for a central midfielder.

The price to beat is now £107m following World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez’s January move to Chelsea.
